This medal was authorised in 1851 to the survivors of the India campaigns between 1803 and 1826. The fact that there was a 48 year gap between the first action and the award of the medal, meant only a few medals were issued.

This Disc is presented in PDF format and contains:

1,164 single and double pages of the muster rolls of the British ships that were present in the action at the Battle of the Nile on the 1st and 2nd August 1798, the scanned images being produced from copies that were supplied by the Public Record Office from their micro-film. The rolls list approx 8,169 names and give the persons rank, number, age, where born, date appeared on ship,wounded or killed. Also given is the medal roll for persons that received the Naval General Service Medal with clasp "Nile", plus Captain Logs (31st July to 7/8th August) and muster roll for the naval hospital at Gibraltar July 1798 to March 1799.

This disc contains the scanned images of 78 pages of the Khedives Sudan Medal Roll 1910, which were supplied by the National Archives.

WO100/407...Khedives Sudan Medal 1910 with Clasps Atwot, Southern Kerdofan 1910, Sudan 1912, Mandal, Miri, Zeraf 1913-1914, Mongalla 1915-1916, Durfur 1916, Fasher, Lau-Nuer, Nyima 1917-1918 Atwot 1918, Aliab Dinka, Garjak Nuer, Nyala, and Darpur 1921.

This medal was sanctioned in June 1911 and was awarded for various small expeditions in the southern part of the country between 1910 and 1922 and is very scarce as the majority of the recipients were Egyptian or Sudanese troops, so only a small number of Army and RAF personnel qualified to receive it.

WO100/12...This disc contains 133 scanned pages taken from the Egypt 1801 medal roll of all the names of persons that received the Military General Service Medal with the clasp “ Egypt “ for the campaign of 1801.

This medal was sanctioned in 1847 and issued in 1848 for services during the Napoleonic Wars 1801-14. Because of the time lapse between 1801 to 1848, only a small number of survivors from each regiment lived to receive the award.

South Africa Medal Roll 1834-1853

Canada General Service Medal Roll 1866-1870

This Disc is presented in PDF format and contains:

the names of recipients for the Canada General Service Medal 1866-70, The 312 single and double pages are scanned PDF images taken from the series WO100/ 110 for the British Army and Royal Navy....This medal was approved and issued in 1899 by the Canadian Government. The lapse of time between the campaign and the issue of the medal meant that only a portion of those troops received the medal which was awarded to them for the Fenian Raids of 1866 and 1870 in Canada.

Also given on this roll is the home address in 1899 of all the persons that received this medal award.
